A reusable beeswax cover for open jars, glasses and small bowls.
Give your sourdough starter jar a practical, reusable cover with a little handmade floral charm. This beeswax-infused cotton cover fits over both standard-wide and wide-mouth Mason jars and small bowls up to approximately 5 inches and is secured with Mocha Abby’s permanently attached macrame cord and wooden-bead closure. Use your beeswax jar cover as a temporary protective cover for jars containing dry snacks, baking ingredients or refrigerated foods that do not require an airtight seal.

Includes 2 jar covers with attached twill and bead closures. (Jars and contents are not included)

Please note: This cover is not leakproof, airtight or suitable for canning, transporting liquids, hot foods, or fermentations that require unrestricted airflow.

• Handmade from 100% cotton
• Infused with pure 100% USA beeswax
• No tree resin, jojoba oil or other additives
• Neat pinked zigzag edges
• Permanently attached flat cotton twill tape
• Pale natural-wood tightening bead

HOW TO USE

Center the cover over the opening of your jar and gently shape the fabric around the rim. Bring the attached twill tape over the top of the cover and position it around the fabric below the jar’s rim. Slide the wooden bead upward to tighten the twill and secure the cover.

The twill is sewn to the back of the cover, and both tails remain threaded through the bead, so there are no loose closures to misplace.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Hand wash gently in cool water with mild dish soap. Rinse and allow the cover, twill and bead to air dry completely before storing or using again.

Avoid hot water, soaking, the dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, direct sunlight and other heat sources. Heat can soften or melt the beeswax.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This cover does not create an airtight seal. It is designed as a loose protective cover for sourdough starter jars and general jar covering.

Beeswax-infused cotton is air-resistant rather than fully breathable. This cover is not recommended for kombucha, kefir or other fermentation methods that specifically require a breathable, unwaxed cloth.

Because every cover is handmade, the placement of the fabric design and small finishing details may vary slightly.

Mason jar, sourdough starter and photography props are not included.
