A Little Less Plastic, a Little More Handmade

Welcome to Mocha Abby! I’m glad you’re here. I make reusable beeswax food storage bags, wraps, and covers for everyday kitchens. From a loaf of homemade bread to snacks packed for the afternoon, my goal is to make reusable food storage simple, practical, and beautiful.Every piece is handmade by me in the USA using 100% cotton fabric infused with 100% USA beeswax. There’s no pine resin, no oils, no synthetic wax, and no additives.

A Closure That Makes the Difference

One question I often hear is, “If there’s no sticky resin, how does the bag stay closed?”The answer is a cord-and-wooden-bead closure. Fold the top toward the back, bring the attached cord around to the front, and slide the bead upward until it feels snug. For smaller contents, fold the top down farther before tightening. It’s an adjustable closure that holds the folded top in place without relying on sticky resin.

Care in the Small Details

What’s inside the bag matters, too.Mocha Abby bags have fully enclosed side seams, with the raw fabric edges tucked inside the stitching. This gives crumbs fewer places to collect and makes the inside easier to wipe clean. The beeswax is infused into the cotton, giving the fabric a lightly waxed feel. Each bag is made one at a time, with attention to the details you’ll notice when you use it.

More Than a Bread Bag

Bread may be the first thing you think of, but these bags can find a place in many everyday routines. Depending on the size, use them for cooled muffins, sandwiches, snacks, hard cheeses, or produce.Always let freshly baked bread and other baked goods cool completely before putting them inside.

Simple Care for Everyday Use

Wash gently with cool water and mild soap. Wipe the inside and outside, rinse, and leave the bag open to air dry completely before storing.Avoid hot water, dishwashers, microwaves, and wringing or twisting the fabric.
